  • The final critical stage in a LIMS implementation cycle is handover to support. The key document is the Configuration Specification describing how the systems has been setup. The project lead consultant ensures that the relevant additional project documentation, e.g. functional specification and training guides, have been handed over to the Orbis Labsystems Support Desk as well as the customer internal support where there is one. This normally includes a presentation of the system. The consultant may recommend further training based on any perceived risk.

  • Each completed system is put into a six month hyper-care period during which time the lead consultant, and/or some analysts, will be available in the event of issues. This ensures continuity and satisfactory adoption of the system. It’s usual that administrators or super users will have questions or queries and we endeavour to answer these quickly.
